Photisan

Terms of use

Last updated: October 31, 2026

This is a translation. If it differs from the Spanish version, the Spanish version prevails.

These terms govern the use of Photisan, a photo editing program for Mac. By installing or using it, you accept them.

Who we are

Photisan is the trade name of Yunier Escobar González, an individual based at Tlacotalpan 92, Roma Sur, Cuauhtémoc, 06760 Mexico City, Mexico. You can write to us at [email protected].

The subscription

Photisan is sold as a yearly subscription through Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record: it processes the payments, sends you the receipts and the license key, and calculates and collects the taxes that apply in your country. The subscription renews by itself every year until you cancel it; you can cancel at any time, and the next renewal is then not charged. Payments are also governed by Lemon Squeezy's terms.

Your license

When you subscribe, you receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Photisan on up to two Mac computers. You may use it for personal and commercial work: the photos you edit are yours. The license gives you the right to use the program; Photisan remains ours.

The trial

You can try Photisan for 14 days with every feature, once per computer. When the trial ends, the app still opens and shows your files, but you need a license to save and export.

Activation and connection

Activating the license and starting the trial require an internet connection. Photisan renews the license in the background and works offline for up to 14 days after the last renewal. To do so, it sends our license server the data described in the privacy notice; never your photos.

What is not allowed

End of the license

If the payment is refunded or reversed by a chargeback, or if you breach these terms, the license is deactivated and Photisan stops saving and exporting on your computers. The files you already saved remain yours.

Warranty and liability

We work to make Photisan reliable, but it is provided as is, without a warranty that it is error-free or will work without interruption. Keep copies of your important files. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the license. Nothing here limits the rights that the consumer protection law that applies to you grants you.

Third-party trademarks

Kodak, Eastman, Fujifilm, Ilford, CineStill, Frontier, Noritsu, Photoshop and Mac are trademarks of their respective owners. Film and lab names are used only to describe which emulsion or style each option simulates. Photisan is not affiliated with or endorsed by those companies.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will publish the current version here with its date and, if the change is significant, let you know by email or in the app.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Any dispute will be resolved before the courts of Mexico City, unless the law of your country of residence entitles you to another jurisdiction.
